There May Be Something There That Wasn’t There Before

“Beauty and the Beast is a 2017 American family, musicalromanticfantasyadventure film directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos. A co-production between Walt Disney Pictures and Mandeville Films, the film is a live-action remake of Disney’s 1991 animated film of the same name, itself an adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont‘s eighteenth-century fairy tale. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Emma Watson and Dan Stevens as the titular charactes, with Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson in supporting roles.

In the film, Belle is imprisoned in an enchanted castle by a fearsome Beast, who soon falls in love with her. There, she learns that the Beast was a local aristocrat who is cursed by a mysterious sorceress with his servants into their current states as penance for their past callousness. Belle also tries to evade a narcissistic hunter who is obsessed to have her for himself, ultimately leading to a confrontation between her suitors.

Principal photography began at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England on May 18, 2015, and ended on August 21. Beauty and the Beast premiered on February 23, 2017, at Spencer House in London and was released in North America on March 16, 2017, in the standard, Disney Digital 3-D, RealD 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D formats along with Dolby Cinema. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed $350 million worldwide, against a $160 million production budget.” (c) Wikipedia

I grew up watching Disney Stories and even reading Disney Princess’ Magazine way back then. That’s why when I heard that there will be a remake of this classical Disney Princess Movie: Beauty and The Beast, I am very much excited and overwhelmed. I can’t hide the feeling that I really want to watch the movie because I want to see how does it differ from the original animated cartoon movie. One more thing is that, EMMA WATSON is playing as Belle. Jeez! I can’t hide the excitement! She’s my idol since Harry Potter started.

March 16, 2017 was the official showing date of the movie here in the Philippines, I watched it together with my GG last March 17, 2017.

A review about the movie

It was fantastic for me. I love the way it was created. I still saw the original touch from every scene and that what’s it made special to me. Perhaps all actors and actresses are great. They did their job well and played their role perfectly. I just love how the story flow, the effects and each expressions from every actors. It really brought back my childhood days. Something that each and every one of us misses so much.

Learning

You never must judge anyone by their outside appearances because we never know what they’ve been through, specially when we don’t really know them. We must not love using our eyes, instead we must use our hearts and our brains. Not every good thing we see is good, sometimes its deceiving. And not every bad thing we see is bad. Look deeper, know deeper. Never judge someone easily.

“You don’t lose hope, love. If you do, you lose everything.”

– Never be afraid to love, never be afraid to open your heart. Love is very magical, it heals a broken heart, it gives hope, it gives chances and it made everything possible. Dare to love. Dare to experience love.

“I want an adventure in the great wide somewhere. I want it more than I can tell.”

– Dream high, never lose hope about dreaming and reaching your goals, plans and dreams in life. It will not be easy but it will be very worth it. Sometimes rough road lead us to a much sweeter success. Continue to dream, to aim high and always strive for what you want in life.

Hey fellow Disney Princess’ let’s watch the movie and let’s bring out the childhood heart in you.
